With automatic car detection, you can connect your Bluetooth-enabled vehicle to tour. Once the car is connected, the app automatically recognises when you are travelling in your own vehicle and records your journeys. This saves battery power.
Note: Automatic car detection via Bluetooth is currently only available for tour Android.

1. Connect vehicle to tour - Set up Car Detection
Select "Car Detection" in the settings tab. If you have not yet connected a vehicle, you can activate it here.
The vehicle should already be visible here if the smartphone has already been connected to the vehicle via Bluetooth. You can then select it directly and complete the setup.
If the vehicle is not yet displayed in the list, click on ‘Pair new device’. This will take you to the device's general Bluetooth settings, where you can search for the vehicle and pair the devices.
Note: You can only set up vehicle detection with one vehicle at a time.
After the vehicle has been connected, the setting can also be edited in this view, for example if a different vehicle is to be selected or if you want to disconnect the connected vehicle.
2. Recording tours with Automatic Car Detection
In order to generally record tours, recording must be activated in tour and the start mileage must be entered.
As long as you are outside the vehicle, you can see this in the notification and in the app.
As soon as you are near the vehicle, recording starts automatically as soon as you begin your journey.
If you move the recording slider to the inactive position, no more journeys will be recorded, for example private journeys at the weekend.
3. Stops
If there is a longer standstill during your tour, for example in a traffic jam, it can happen that the recording is interrupted. In this case, you can remove the stops by merging the resulting 2 (or more) journeys retrospectively.
Here you can find instructions on how to do this.
